Principle Doctor – MD, Dip RACOG, FRACGP
Dr John Schulze is the Principal of Absolute Medical Services and has been in General Practice on the Central Coast since 1981. He is a former director of the Central Coast Division of General Practice, a national networking organization for GPs. Prior to launching his general practice career, John worked in obstetrics and anaesthetics in England, Vancouver and Sydney, and was deputy director of Gosford Hospital’s Emergency Department.

Dr Metcalfe completed his undergraduate study at the University of Sydney majoring in Pharmacology and advanced Human Physiology. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney in 2009. Dr Metcalfe completed his postgraduate experience locally with Central Coast Area Health Service.
Ryan is a current player with Terrigal Trojans Rugby club with well over 200, 1 st grade games. He has also represented the Central Coast Rugby Union Representative team in recent years.
Ryan’s particular areas of interest include Paediatrics, Sports Medicine, Skin Cancer, minor procedures and general family medicine. Ryan joined the team at Absolute Medical Services in 2013.
General Practitioner – MBBS, DRANZCOG
Dr Alison Hyland graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1990 and holds a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. Alison also holds the Diploma of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Alison has been working as a General Practitioner for over 20 years on the Central Coast and specialises in women’s and children’s health.
Alison is married with two children and manages to find the balance between family and that of being a busy doctor.

After graduating with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1982, Dr Hayes completed four years of residency at major Sydney teaching hospitals and their peripheral hospitals with a special interest in medicine and paediatrics and was then awarded her Certificate for Satisfactory Completion of Training for General Practice through the RACGP.
With her husband Dr Hayes served as missionary doctors in Zambia for two years, and later in Nepal, gaining extensive experience in tropical and infectious diseases, and travel medicine and more recently did some short term medical work in Samoa.
Since returning to Australia Dr Hayes has raised three children and has worked in general practice part-time on the Central Coast and has been with the team at Absolute Medical Services for 20 years.
Dr Hayes’ special interests are in women’s health, prevention of diseases, general medicine, children’s health and travel medicine. She is qualified as a doctor in the Better Outcomes in Mental Health Program and offers management of mental health problems, with referral to supporting psychologists and psychiatrists as required. Dr Hayes is also trained in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, including cryotherapy, biopsy and excision of skin lesions. Dr Hayes’ focus is on care for the whole person, recognising the importance of the physical, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual.
Dr Hayes is also a Clinical Editor for Health Pathways, a GP web-based tool for assessment and management of patients on the Central Coast.

Dr Anderson graduated from the University of Sydney in 1982, with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He also holds the Diploma of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
He has over 30 years experience in General Practice on the Central Coast and has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health and all aspects of family medicine.
He is married with five children, and is a great music fan, and an avid supporter of the Central Coast Mariners.

Dr Vivian completed his medical graduation and post-graduation in India, and worked as an Orthopaedic
Surgeon for 12 years in Mission Hospitals before immigrating to Australia.
Here he successfully completed AMC exams towards General Registration and worked in the Emergency
Departments on the Central Coast for 6 years, before undertaking RACGP training towards Fellowship. His
Fellowship training included working in remote communities as well as in mainstream clinics.
Dr Vivian’s areas of interest are obesity and its management, diabetes management and reversal, skin
cancer surgery and lifestyle medicine. He has equipped himself with further training and qualifications in
these areas.
Dr Vivian lives on the Coast with his wife and two sons and spends his spare time enjoying playing musical
instruments, riding motorcycles and taking part in church activities.

Dr Kervin graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2009 and has lived and worked as a GP on the Central Coast since 2013.
Dr Kervin has four children who keep her busy outside of the practice.
Dr Kervin has a particular interest in all aspects of pregnancy care, menopause, and contraceptions.
Dr Kervin provides Implanon and Mirena insertion (to current patients and those who are not patients of the practice)
Our compassionate, caring team of practice nurses are highly skilled and experienced in a wide scope of clinical practice.
They support the Doctors at AMS and can assist in immunisations, minor surgical procedures, health checks, wound care and chronic disease management.
