Expected Behaviour Policy

In an effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for your doctors, our staff, visitors, patients and their families, Absolute Medical Services will work to provide a safe and respectful environment.

Our team and the doctors we support will always perform respectfully and visitors, patients and accompanying family members are expected to refrain from unacceptable behaviours that are disruptive or pose a threat to the rights or safety of other patients, visitors, your doctor and our staff.

So your doctor can provide you with quality, dedicated medical care it is crucial that all visitors of our premises act with respect.

In order to keep our premises safe, we have a zero tolerance policy and respectfully point out that
the following inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated:

  • Loud and intrusive conversation or other noise including playing music on devices
  • Offensive language, verbal abuse, swearing or psychological abuse
  • Sexual harassment and sexual assault
  • Offensive remarks of a racial, sexual or personally derogatory nature
  • Offensive, threatening or aggressive gestures and/or actions
  • Invasion of personal space
  • Talking on mobile phones in the waiting room
  • Physical assault, including unsuccessful contact
  • Damage to practice property or that of other patients
  • Theft of practice property or that of other patients
  • Reckless behaviour that could result in harm to others
  • Inappropriate behaviour involving alcohol or substance misuse
  • Discussing medical practice staff on social media forums
  • Taking photos or videos of practice staff or the practice setting without express permission from the practice
  • Such behaviour has a marked effect on staff and other patients and therefore, if you commit such behaviour at our premises, we
    reserve the right to remove you from the premises, and your doctor may withdraw from delivering you treatment. The police may be called.

We do not allow smoking or drinking on the premises and ask that mobile phones are switched off or placed on silence.

Please note that for health reasons appropriate dress should be worn e.g. No bare chests/feet in the summer please!
